He was predeceased by: his parent Gasper Agate; his uncle Tony; his aunt Marian; and his close friend Dave Kruse. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Agate (Samson); his siblings, Frank Agate (Deb), Jay Agate (Kristy) and Terri Agate (Shelby); his nephew Josh Agate (Lindy); his nieces, Angie Hofer (Justin) and Megan Tessmer (Matthew); his close friend Bill Lock (Linda); Jim.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Central Christian Church (2460 Milwaukee Rd, Beloit, WI 53511). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made out to Beloit Regional Hospice. There will also be a Scholarship created in Jim's name that will be established through Stateline Community Foundation for anyone graduating high school that will be pursuing a degree in the hospitality business.
