He was predeceased by: his parents, David Edwards and Betty Edwards (Short); his wife Patricia K. Freeman; his children, Jeffrey and Mary; and his brother Jim Edwards.

He is survived by: his children, Steven "Beaver" Edwards (Cynthia) of Beloit, WI, Mark W. Edwards (Lynn) of Beloit, WI, Matthew J. Edwards (Hanna) of Beloit, WI, Jennifer A. Edwards (Dean Francis) of Beloit, WI and Samuel Edwards (Denise) of Beloit, WI; and his grandchildren, Ashlie Meyer (Jim), Cooper Edwards, Peter Morello, Jeffrey Edwards, Joseph Morello, Tanner Edwards, Katie Edwards, Deo Edwards and Tony Francis.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Beloit Youth Hockey Association Scholarship Fund or the Kidney Foundation through the UW Hospital, Madison, WI.
