We are sad to announce that, on July 29, 2021, at the age of 80, John D. Spates of Beloit, Wisconsin, born in Elkhart, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Edwin and Mildred Spates (Lowe); his mother-in-law Rose Hoffman; his wife Linda Carter; his siblings-in-law, Jack and Janet; and his nieces and nephews, Mark, Scott, Robert, Bruce, Matthew, Jeffrey, Nancy, Jennifer, Laura and Lindsey. He was also cherished by many other relatives and friends.
