He is survived by: his children, Leslie Hamil (Dennis) and John Sumpter II; his grandchildren, Belinda McCarthy (Dennis), Chad Schultz (Tara), Michael Wright, Tracy Bliss (Matthew) and TJ Porter (Tammy); his great grandchildren, Brandan (JoAnna), Breanna, Kylie, Alexis, Chase of Logan, TJ, Katie, Parker and Landen; his great great grandchildren, Bryson and Jaxon; his siblings, Claudette Borre and Wayne Sumpter; his son-in-law Dana Wright; his close friend Julie Martin; and his pet Buck.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium (2355 Cranston Rd, Beloit, WI 53511). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
