He is survived by: his wife Judy (Judy) of Beloit, WI; his sons, Dr. Brandon Lernor (Ashley) of Palatine, IL and Justin Lernor (Brianna) of Darien, IL; his grandchildren, Rhys, Evie and Rory; his sisters, Alicia Finnegan (Jerry) of Boise, ID and Sheri Maxfield of Chicago, IL; his niece Samantha Lerner (Matt) of Chicago, IL; his nephew Clay Maxfield (Miranda) of Chicago, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Alan Frank of Woodridge, IL and Cheryl Frank of Milwaukee, WI. He is also survived by many cousins, great nephews, other relatives, colleagues and friends.
In 2021, Lawry taught COVID-19 vaccination courses to optometrists and was recognized for his efforts by the Illinois Optometric Association with the Dr. Floyd Mizener Friend of Optometry Award.
