With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lydia Gibbs of Beloit, Wisconsin, born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 6, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Lester Mathews and Agnes Mathews (Janney); and her siblings, Tom, Robert, Jean, Margaret, Marlene and Marion.
She is survived by: her husband Arnold Gibbs; her daughters, Kathryn Hill (Merlyn) of Beloit, WI, Janet Weldon (Dale) of Louisville, KY and Cindy Givhan (Mark) of Beloit, WI; and her grandchildren, Craig Noe, Michelle Hoffland (Tim), Sarah Wardley (Aaron), Benjamin Weldon, Tyler Weldon (Amber), Lyndsy Woodard (Cory) and Lacey Hernandez (Hugo). She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
