He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaus Olson and Ginver Olson (Johnson); his siblings, Glen Olson (Charlene), Doris Pharo (Doug), Dean Olson and Joan Lawver (Dewayne); and his sister-in-law Doris Smith (Richard).

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Olson of Beloit, WI; his son Brad Olson (Karen) of Waukesha, WI; his grandchildren, Kirsten Hink (Erik) of Waukesha, WI and Erik Olson of Waukesha, WI; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Olson of Janesville, WI and Kenneth Hentsch (Jean) of Sarona, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given in Owen's name to Luther Valley Church.
