He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Hess and Mary Hess (Brandenberg); his siblings, Doris Butts, Harold Hess and Donald Hess; and his close friends, Ralph and Julie Lee.
He is survived by: his close friends, Paul Lee and Matt Lee (Laura). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and many cousins.
