We are sad to announce that, on May 6, 2026, at the age of 92, Shirley Mae Thompson of Beloit, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid adieu to Shirley's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Shirley has bequeathed us. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Adam and Glennie Fidelia Copus (Sealey); and her siblings, Elaine Piepenhagen, Howard Copus and Harold Copus.

She is survived by: her husband Richard F. Thompson, Jr.; and her sisters-in-law, Marian Copus and Darlene Jackson (Thompson). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
