Steve Theis March 15, 1964 – February 20, 2025, Waunakee, WI Steve Theis, age 60, passed away unexpectedly at his family home in Waunakee, WI on February 20, 2025. Born on March 15, 1964, in Madison, WI, Steve spent his entire life in the Madison and Waunakee area.
Steve had a generous heart, lots of energy and a great sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether it was on the job site, in the garage or out on the farm. Skilled in the trades and automative fields, he left his mark on many projects in the area.
His love for music was a constant in his life, and he never missed the opportunity to enjoy a good concert with friends. He had passion for car races, auto body work, fishing and zipping around the family farm on ATVs with his nieces and nephew who adored every moment with their fun-loving uncle.
He is survived by his parents: Eugene and Louise Theis and his siblings: Diane (Ron) Koch, Donna (Joe) Mogensen, Dave (Sandie) Theis, Dawn (Scott) Ripp; along with many nieces and a nephew.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the neighbors, friends, first responders and many other surrounding communities that came together in the wake of this house fire tragedy.
Steve will be remembered not only for his talents and hard work, but for the laughter he shared, the love he gave and the countless ways he made life brighter.
A private funeral for immediate family will be held at a later date.
