He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernst Eberhardt and Martha Eberhardt (Uttecht); his wife Thelma Eley; his siblings, Herman, Frederick, Henry, Irene (Kolb) and Edna (Fisher); and his children, William R. Eberhardt, Jr. and Nancy (Ed Nupnau).
He is survived by: his children, Ralph Eberhardt, Richard Eberhardt, Charles Eley (Linda), David Eley (Mary), John Eley (Cindy) and Kari Taylor (Jon); and his sister Ester Halverson. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
