She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Mitchell and Helen Mitchell (Hanson); her daughter Shelly Rees; and her brother Dan Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband John Rees; her children, Carolyn Gille (Bob) of Cuba City, WI, Heidi Barnett (Troy) of Kenosha, WI and Kelly Spiegelberg (Dan) of Monument, CO; her brother Michael David Mitchell (Val) of Antioch, IL; her grandchildren, Mitchell Kitchens (Manelyn), Joshua Kitchens (Dakotah), Ashley Kitchens (Sarrut), Kelsey Romanoff (Justin), Kalee Barnett, Taylor Spiegelberg (Yeonwook) and Brittany Delfin (Jake); her sister-in-law Diane Mitchell; and her caregiver Kelsey. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
