Dee Anna McCarthy Obituary
We bid farewell to Dee Anna McCarthy of Benton, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 15, 2025 at the age of 85. Dee Anna touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ray and Dee Ray (Crabtree); her grandchildren, Samantha Mueller and Ryan Classen; her siblings, Faye Nelle Plummer (Leonard), Thomas Ray, Jr. (Billie Ann), Charles Ray (Shirley), Ahniwake Ray (Dorothy) and William Ray; and her sisters-in-law, Geraldine Ray and Nancy Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Anna Wonders (Steve) of Darlington, WI, Amy Classen (Dan) of West Bend, IA, Anita Mueller (Scott) of Benton, WI, Arnold McCarthy, Jr. (Rhonda) of Cuba City, WI and Anthony McCarthy (Marcia) of Anamosa, IA; her brothers, John Ray of Galena, IL and Vernon Ray of DeKalb, IL; and her sister-in-law Darlene Ray of Galena, IL. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Beginning Point Church (148 3rd Ave, Benton, WI 53803). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Historical Benton Primitive Methodist Cemetery (328 W Main St, Benton, WI 53803).
Dee was longtime member of the Cuba City Lioness and conducted eye donation certification classes for the Lions Club.
