She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Martens and Mary Martens (Weber); her former husband Robert Harris Sr.; her husband Gene "Deacon" L. Callan; her daughters, Ruth Ann "Boo Boo" Harris and Julie A. Clough; her parents-in-law, Lavada and Joe Brunskill; her grandchildren, Aurora Vayda May Coffman and Wilder James Coffman; and her siblings, Frank Martens, William Martens, Jean Evans and Eleanor Wallace.
She is survived by: her children, Robert "Heavy" Harris Jr. (Rose), Laura Harris-Koeller (Paul LaBrasseur) and Lynne Walton (Tim); her siblings, Ray Martens, Marilyn Sam and Chuck Martens; and her nephew Billy Martens. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Per Ruth's stern wishes, she requested no flowers or plants. A Ruth A. (Martens) Harris-Callan Memorial Fund has been established.
