He was predeceased by: his parent Lee Heimes; and his brother Barry Heimes. He is survived by: his mother Eileen Soule Heimes (Lloyd); his children, Allyssa Heimes, Deven Heimes and Darian Heimes; his brother Brad Heimes (Rosie); his niece Rachel Heimes; his nephew David Heimes; and his uncle Larry Heimes. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
