He is survived by: his mother Jane Gies (Michels); his wife Cindy; his children, Matt Gies (Alissa), Doug Gies, Jordan Gies (Destiny) and Marissa Gies (Kade Krings); his grandsons, Parker, Garrett and Colby; and his siblings, Bill Gies, Bob Gies, Tom Gies (Angie), Karen Sales, Ileen Kurczek (Rob) and Tammy Schertz (Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
