He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Engebretson and Joan Engebretson (Stein); his stepfather Eugene Rodenberg; his mother-in-law Betty Marg; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond "Raymo" Aschenbrenner, Robert Johnston and David Marg of Juan Roca.
He is survived by: his former wife Candace Nachreiner (Lambert); his wife Shirley Cherwin (Marg); his children, Adam Engebretson (Nancy), Casey Engebretson (Marcy), Mike Cherwin (Mozelle) of San Francisco, Kelly Fask (Steve) of Elmhurst and Karie Graham (Paul) of Middleton, Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Megan, Ryan, Crayton, Dylan, Isabel, Mayla, Gabrielle, Sophie, Carter, Owen, Estelle, Ellie and Liam; and his siblings, Susan Johnston of Cheryl Roca, Lisa Harmer (Paul) and Craig Rodenberg (Theresa).
