He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Turner and Harriet Gilbertson; his parents-in-law, Irwin and Elnora Avery; his brother Lee Turner; his brother-in-law Marvin Zeman; and his sibling's children, Carl Zeman, Camille and Brenda Strittmater.

He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie; his daughters, Tia Turner (Leon) and Kim Turner; his grandchildren, Jesse, Justin, Brittany, Tyler and Dalton; and his great grandchildren, Zion, Raven, Griffin and Delaney.
