With sadness, we share the passing of Patrick Tangney of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Patrick, born on October 13, 1933, passed away on September 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Patrick and Margaret Hannah Tangney (Baggott); and his siblings, Alice Tangney Leszczynski (Dan) of Milwaukee and Jerome Tangney (Nancy) of Menasha. He is survived by: his children, Teresa Rose Fanta (Gerry) of Black River Falls, Kristina Jo Roou (Dave) of Black River Falls, Andrea Lynn Burns (Dan) of Schofield, Kelli Tangney Williams (Jonathan) of Pasadena, MD, Patrick John Tangney (Scott Patterson) of Washington, D. C and Pat; and his siblings, Cathie Tangney Duerst Schroeder (Eddie) of Verona, Bernard Tangney (Linda) of Whitewater, Francis Tangney (Alice) of St. Louis Park, MN and Bill Tangney of Shawano. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
A rosary will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Guardian Angels Parish. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Castle Hill Supper Club (N9581 US-12, Merrillan, WI 54754). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
His last patented phrase, which he used as his sign off to every text message, was "Love you ~ bye bye."In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to "'Hillsboro Excellence in Education' - in memory of Patrick Tangney".
