With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Annette Tangney (Black River Falls, Wisconsin), who passed away on January 19, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Nelson and Laura Leona Nelson (Rickey); her siblings, Gerald, Gene, Ross, Robert (Bobby), William (Billy), Dale, Keith, Joyce Nelson and Judy Swartz; and her siblings-in-law, Dan Leszczynski, Ed Duerst, Dorothy Nelson, Virginia Nelson and Kathy Nelson.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick Tangney; her children, Terri Fanta (Gerry), Kris Roou (Dave), Andi Burns (Dan), Kelli Williams (Jonathan) and Patrick Tangney (Scott); her great grandchildren, Meghan Fanta-Gray (James), Allison Pawielski (John), Ellie Leapalt (Sam), Katie Brown (Wyatt), Jack Roou, Erin Roou, Addi Compton (Eric), Courtney Fanta, Claire Burns, Caleb Williams, Josi Williams, Maggie Roou, Rachel Burns, Lili Williams, Mike Roou, Patrick Burns, Hazel Tangney, Greta Pawielski, Bennett Pawielski, Rory Brown and Charles Gray; her siblings, Shirley Thomas (Frank), Gordon Nelson (Sally), Larry Nelson (Mary Jane) and Ricky Nelson; and her siblings-in-law, Silvia Nelson, Oneta Nelson, Chuck Swartz, Alice Leszczynski, Cathie Schroeder-Duerst, Jerome Tangney (Nancy), Bernard Tangney (Linda), Francis Tangney (Alice) and Bill Tangney. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
