With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arthur Van Riessen of Blair, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 6, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Riessen and Alice Van Riessen (Vos); his grandsons, Dustin and Craig Haarsma; his brother John; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Van Riessen, Geneva (Bernard Bomgaars) and Dorothy (Chris Wynja).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Den Herder of Blair, WI; his children, Gary and Miriam; his grandson Bret; his children, Roxanne Van Riessen of Blue Springs, MO, Robert "Rob", Pamela Van Riessen of Sioux Center, IA and Kelly Haarsma of Blair, WI.; and his sister-in-law Ruth (Leon Koster) of Sioux City, IA.. He is also survived by grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren.
