She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis "Frank" Patrick Hughes and Mildred Irene Hughes (Larson); and her brothers, Bob, Bill, Dick, Paul, Sam and Jack.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeri Nelson of Blanchardville, Julie Nelson of Blanchardville, Jacquelyn Johnson of Rochester and Amy Nelson of Blanchardville; her grandchildren, Steven Nelson, Spencer, Sawyer Johnson and Sammy Nelson; her brothers, Jerry Hughes (Dorothy) of Belvidere, IL and Dwayne Hughes (Kay) of Arizona; and her great grandchildren, Ella, Jack Nelson and Theodore Johnson.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (304 Meadow St, Blanchardville, WI 53516). A burial was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:45 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (508 Mound St, Blanchardville, WI 53516). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Blanchard Hall (204 S Main St, Blanchardville, WI 53516).
