He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peter Wagner and Ruth Wagner (Peterson); his daughter Nancy Ann; his great grandchild Caysen John Lang; his sisters, Maxine "Peg" Ottum, Donna Welner, Rita "Faye" Brantner and Yvonne "Bonnie" Bartel; and his in-laws, Mary and Gilbert Marek.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Marek of Paul's Catholic Church; his daughter Cindy Gumness (Paul) of Bloomer; his granddaughters, Nicole Lang (Jason) of Bloomer and Kristi Krombholz (Tyler) of Merrill, WI; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Sydney Lang, Aubrey, Emma, Olivia and Nora Krombholz; his sister Marilyn Birtzer of Chippewa Falls, WI; and his brother-in-law Donald Brantner of Mondovi.
