He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Konichek and Alta Konichek (Balzell); his wife Linda Hand; his son John Konichek Jr.; his brothers, Lavern and Larry Konichek; and his grandchildren, Adam Beardmore, Alyssa Heginger and Devin Konichek.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Maag (Aaron), Brenda Ready (Walton) and Dana Beardmore (Corey). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
