He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mercier and Edna Mercier (Berseth); and his daughter Jean Pilgrim. He is survived by: his wife Karen Mercier; his children, Jane "Becky" Smith, John Mercier (Tracey), Laura Hobbick (Mark), Pat Mercier (Tracy), Joe Mercier (Irene Cook) and Scott Mercier (Melanie); his grandchildren, Alexandria, Ashton, Delani, Natasha, Rusty, Saraya, Dana, Vanessa, Robert, Jared, Makayla, Wyatt, Mariah, Katie and Megan; his son-in-law Brian Pilgrim; and his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Totsky, Yvonne Seidling and Sally Mercier-Beckfield. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
