He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Sauer and Lioba Sauer (Geigel); his sisters, Diane Gilbertson, Sandra Spaeth-Barnes and Victoria Lau; his brothers-in-law, Robert Grall, Donald Spaeth, James Barnes, Wayne "Whitie" Siehr and Russel Lau; his parents-in-law, Gordon and Betty Anhalt; and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Anhalt and Mike Kohlmann.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Sauer; his daughter Nicole Rendfliesch (Paul); his grandson Holden Rendfliesch; his sisters, Darlene Grall, Gloria Lisowe (Raymond), Cyndie Siehr and Melissa Duggan; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Kohlmann, Lynn Luebke (Jerry), Marlene Allen (John) and Ron (Anna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (1121 N 14th St, Manitowoc, WI 54220). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
