James Docter Obituary
We announce the death of James Docter of Brandon, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 90. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Docter and Grace Docter (Strong); his wife Marie Rivers; his daughter Susan Zabel (Randy); and his siblings, Arthur Docter, Gordon Docter, Joe Docter, Beverly Nighbor and Rosemary Raymond.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Docter (Wanda) of Markesan, Richard Docter (Lisa) of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Docter (Linda) of Brandon, John Docter (Sarah) of North Fond, Tina Halberg (Randy) of Milwaukee and Donna Docter of Milwaukee; and his sister Evelyn Berndt of Markesan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (228 E Blossom St, Ripon, WI 54971). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at the St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
