He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Hanefeld and Eunice Hanefeld (Genrich); his stepfather Gene Burchardt; and his in-laws, Ronald and Phyllis Brown.

He is survived by : his wife Bev of Brandon; his stepson Michael Schmuhl (Suzie); and his children, Mason, Brayden, Everley and Brooks of Brandon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
