He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hillmann and Esther Hillmann (Wenzel); his wife Janice Utke; his parents-in-law, John and Delia Utke; his granddaughter Ashley Boettcher; his sister Delores; and his siblings-in-law, Cyril Schwalenberg and Toni Hillmann.
He is survived by: his children, Joy Bolda (Jim), Jane Schneider (Tom) of Sioux Falls, SD, Judy Boettcher (Larry), Jeff Hillmann (Molly) and Green Bay; his grandsons, Jace Bolda (Kayla) and Franklin; his children, Jenna Schmudlach (Ben) of Kenai, AK, Dr. Abigail Polzin (Bryant), Sioux Falls, Emily Schneider, Jesse Schneider, Molly Schroeder (Michael) of Delano, MN, Marissa Maertz (Tim), Landon Boettcher (Alexandra), Taran Denor (Adam) and Callen Boettcher (Grace); his great grandchildren, Owen Bolda, Sawyer, Nora, Josiah and Sadie Schmudlach; his grandchildren, Hannah, Rory, Jacob Polzin, Lucas, Jackson, Adam Schneider, Micah, Marshall, Maci Schroeder, Adaley, Tucker Maertz, Walter Boettcher, Jack Denor and Leland Boettcher; and his brother Fred Hillmann of Brillion. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be appreciated to St. John-St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville.
