He is survived by: his parents, Audrey Wordell and Erhardt Wordell; his friend Steve; his wife Janelle Wordell; his sisters, Sue Cherney (Russ) and Sandy McWilliams (Rich); his mother-in-law Bernice Behnke; his siblings-in-law, Jim Behnke (Dori), Jerry Behnke (Joyce), John Behnke (Barb), Joe Behnke (Wendy), Jeff Behnke (Kerry) and Judy Behnke (Jerry); and his godchildren, Stephen Behnke, Craig Behnke and Amanda Schroeder. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Steve's name.
