He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Bennett and Frances Bennett; and his siblings, Ed Bennett, Tommy Bennett and Vickie Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Elsner (Jason) of Brodhead and Richard Bennett Jr. (Miranda Parker); his grandchildren, Kerigan Bennett, Jonathon Elsner (Shaylee), Keegan Elsner (Lauren), Bennett, Emma Elsner, Leila Elsner, Bella Parker, Ryker Bennett, Anna Parker, Gabriel Parker, Yene Parker and Lidian; and his siblings, Missy Gilbert (Walter), Penny Nuhiji and Mike Bennett. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the D. L. Newcomer Funeral Home (1105 E 9th Ave, Brodhead, WI 53520). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
