In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Barbara had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Barbara may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Schwellinger; and her children, Alfreda Mariani, Fred Zapka (Shannon), Michael Zapka, Maribeth Bedford (Craig) and Janice Riel (Joe). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and two great grand-daughters, brothers, a sister, many other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wisconsin Memorial Park Chapel of the Chimes (13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W Capitol Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005).
