He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo and Margaret; and his siblings, Joseph (Lorraine), Margaret Mary Christensen (Bert), Dolly and Jane Wisnewski (Ed).

He is survived by: his wife Luisa; his sons, David Jr. (Peggy), Steve (Susan) and Tony; his brother Matthew; his grandchildren, Melissa, Andrew (Christa), Elizabeth (Michael Tennies), Grace, Megan and Allison Anderson (Daniel); and his great grandchildren, William and Sophie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Unbound (formerly the Christian Foundation for Children), would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Years after we worked together, I was pleasantly surprised when two of my Japanese students happened to share some time at a Milwaukee ethnic festival with the Lansers.
