He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Johanek and Helen Johanek (Chlopek); and his brother George Johanek. He is survived by: his sons, Benjamin, Nicholas and Alexander; and his siblings, Al Johanek, Theresa Johanek, Marilyn Olson, Rose Mehlberg, Alice Vander Wyst and Helen Pavalko.
