He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Maas; his brother John Edwin Maas; and his nephew Mark Schwietzer. He is survived by: his children, Sarah (Felix Scheuplein), Julie and John (Rakesh Satyal); his wife Jane; his sister Kathleen Maas; his sister-in-law Mary Alice Pipkorn; and his niece Beth Zolondek. He is also survived by friends and neighbors.
