He is survived by: his wife Valerie; his children, Laura Bertram, Anne Mauer (Jim), Gail Butterfield, Julia Holtze (John) and Matthew Huhnke (Shelley); and his grandchildren, Ben, Alex, Aaron, Joanna, Ellen, Madison and Petra.
