He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaetano Alferi and Vincenzina Alferi; his brother-in-law Ignazio Alferi; and his parents-in-law, Cono Caputo and Angela Caputo.

He is survived by: his wife Maria; his children, Antonella Macke (Ryan), Elisa Smith and Gaetano Alferi; his grandchildren, Mila and Liliana Macke; his siblings, Angela Alferi, Ignazio Alferi, Giuseppe Alferi (Domenica) and Maria Reina (Ignazio); his siblings-in-law, Joe Caputo (Debbie) and Tindaro Caputo (Linda); and his cousins, Lorenzo Reina (Franca) and Joe Reina (Mary). He is also survived by numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
