He was predeceased by: his parents, Jakob Kern and Katherina Jaeger; and his grandmother Katharina Kern. He is survived by: his spouse Kaye; his son Jason Kern (Bobbi); his grandchildren, Seth and Shelby; his brother Helmut Jaeger (Marivic) of Greisheim, Germany.; his siblings-in-law, Sonja Bigley and Steven Nelson; and his nieces and nephews, Lori, Vincent Bermke, Sara Young, Rachael and Nate Nelson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
