He is survived by: his wife Madeline (Hammel); his daughters, Kelly Betancourt and Sarah Vlasis; his grandchildren, Nalicia Lorenzana, Josiah Bruss and Gavin Bayer; and his sisters, Janine Shefte (Pete) and Christine Cornell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital are appreciated.
