He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Wrecza and Helen Wrecza; and his siblings, Corinne Hellmer (Carol) and Edward Wrecza. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; and his son Matthew Louis (Leah). He is also survived by cousins and friends.

“Cont He was the baby in our family of four. There was Corinne, Carol, Edward and finally Jan, named after our grandfather Jan Gromacki. We were a close knit family and always found time for outdoor acivities, and time centered around our church in the old neighborhood, St. Mary Czestochowa. Jan loved to fish which iwas part of his upbringing as we lived near Lake Michigan. Also the family had a summer home in Gleason, Wis. on Long Lake. Jan would go to streams each morning and bring home plenty of fish for dinner.”
