Joan K. Schwalbach Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan K. Schwalbach (Brookfield, Wisconsin), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James W. Schwalbach; her parents, John Kloza and Rose Kloza; and her siblings, Jude, John, Thomas Kloza and Rosann Erdmann.

She is survived by: her children, Kristin Carpenter (Vinny), Karin Bednar (Eric), James Schwalbach (Dawn) and Steven Schwalbach; her granddaughters, Kathryn "Katie" Carpenter and Abigail "Abbie" Schwalbach; and her sister Jacqueline Sweeney (Bernard). She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, godchildren, other relatives, and friends.

The family requests that memorials be made in the form of Mass Intentions through St. Luke Catholic Church.
