We announce the death of Joyce Elizabeth Kennedy (Brookfield, Wisconsin), who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 94. Joyce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Joyce will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Joyce will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Joyce’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Stross and Grace Stross of Cincinnati, Ohio.; her husband Richard; and her siblings, Elaine and William.
She is survived by: her sister Marilyn. She is also survived by her 7 children, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church (1755 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI 53045). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Religious Sisters of Care at St. Camillus.
