He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Flaa and Agnes Flaa (Erickson); his siblings, Joanne Lintelmann and Del Flaa; his brothers-in-law, James Paynter and Ron Paynter; his son-in-law Daniel DeWitt; and his grandson Kyle Flaa.
He is survived by: his wife Luetta Paynter; his children, Luanne DeWitt, Kevin (Kristine), Paul (Lori), Mark (Julie) and Michael (Julie); his grandchildren, Valerie (Dan), Michelle (Aaron), Joshua (Alexandra), Katie (Jonathan), Kenny (Brooke), Kaitlyn, Megan, Keith (Brittani), Krista, Tyler and Derek; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Flaa, Kathy Paynter, Ruth Ruff, Sue Paynter, Fred Lintelmann, Dave Paynter and Dave Ruff. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
