He was predeceased by: his mother Shirley Allen; and his sister Robin Allen Martins. He is survived by: his father Gordon Allen; his wife Diane (Fink); his children, Connor (Marisa Perry) and Taylor (Derrick Jennings); and his siblings, Kim, Gayle and Peter. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the Allen family is setting up a scholarship for graduating Elmbrook musicians in his name.
