It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kristine Ann Backes (Brookfield, Wisconsin), who passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Anthony (Tony); her children, Andrew (Jennifer), Amy, William (Cara), Jane (Justin) and Karen (Jake); her grandchildren, Colton, Michael and Penny; her parents, Norbert Schmidt and Kathryn Schmidt of Milwaukee; her siblings, Bill (Gloria) and Susie (Bob); and her goddaughter Bonnie Jean.
