“It's tough to lose your big brother, even though he tried to convince my kids that I was the older one. We were very close growing up and rarely got into a fight--probably because Mike was a lot calmer than I was. He fitted well into the role of uncle ("unka mix") when my three were born, despite the fact that he told them he didn't know how to read books to them. "But we see you reading the paper all the time," they responded. "I only look at the pictures" Mike replied. We'll miss his wit, his sport's savvy, and his teasing of the wee Auntie ("the Queen").
