He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale H. Smith and Norma J. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Shelly Thiessen (Gary) and Terry D. Smith; his grandchildren, Alec, Austin, Madelyn, Christian, Logan (Isma), Madison, Mason and Lauryn; his great grandchild Emeila; and his siblings, Ronald E. Smith (Ivana), John R. Smith and Cathleen Koch (Jerry). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
