He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Brian (Emily Weseman) and Jonathan (Kate); his granddaughters, Genevieve and Elizabeth; his brother James (Deborah); his siblings-in-law, Thomas Holsen (Susanne), James Holsen (Gloria), David Holsen and Michael Holsen (Patricia); and his friend Mary Ann Krause. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews.
