William Carroll Branson Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of William Carroll Branson (Brookfield, Wisconsin). William, born on August 10, 1936 in Harlan, Kentucky, passed away on September 12, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Carroll Branson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walker Branson and Gladyse Broughton Lasure; his wife Elisabeth "Lisa" Branson; his sons, Joe Branson and Greg Branson; his stepfather James Lasure; and his brother Walker Wayne Branson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marita Witcher (Clay) and Anna Sejer Nielsen (Jens); his daughters-in-law, Val Branson (Joe Branson) and Marie Branson (Greg Branson); and his sister Peggy Branson Brown (George). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church and Chapel Funeral Home (1875 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A joint Celebration of Life honoring the lives and legacies of Bill and his beloved wife, Elisabeth "Lisa" Branson, whose passing during the pandemic limited opportunities for family and friends to gather in remembrance, will be held on Friday, October 30, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1875 N. Calhoun Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin 53005.
