He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Colette; his children, Kathleen Goldammer-Copeland (Mark), William R. Goldammer II (Monica), Patrick G. Goldammer (Vesta), Danny C. Goldammer and Michael J. Goldammer (Karen); his grandchildren, William III, Sarah (Josh), Megan, Patrick, John, Nicholas, Michael II, Grace, Colette, David and Katherine; his sisters, Mary Goldammer and Barbara Schwister (late Paul); and his sister-in-law Maureen Flatley. He was also cherished by nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Potawatomi Area Council - Boy Scouts of America, Messmer High School, Marquette University, or the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
